The Spud

Thank you for checking out ‘Unearthing the Spud’. Now where did I come up with that name?…….

My dad nicknamed me ‘Spud’ when I was born.

I  had a huge, round, bald head.

It was pretty massive.

I must have had a very strong neck.

My dad is also from Ireland and the Irish are known to like their potatoes.

Spud is another word for potatoes if you didn’t already know.

My dad still calls me Spud….and I secretly love it.

Don’t worry, I did sprout some hair eventually.

Then after many years of the blondest blonde, the Spud got bored and went brown, then copper.

And now I look something like this: the current Spud:

More Spud?

I am a primary school teacher of all things good (including maths… :( ).

I am a wife to the man of my dreams and very blessed to have found such a perfect life buddy.

I am a mum to two cats who are my world….ok, they are just cats and I didn’t birth them, but I love them.

I am an Australian who resides in Queensland so I spend a lot of my time being hot and sticky.

I am many things that make up me, but most importantly…

I am a child of God.

Nice to meet you!
